Just a little update!

Well, its been some time since the last update. We continue to work hard at building our social media presents and we’ve had a few setbacks. Even with these setbacks we are moving forward like a freight train! A couple days ago while upgrading our personal home webserver, catastrophe struck. After the upgrade our Apache software left the building, rendering our server a boat anchor! We’ve got years and years of work tied up in this webserver and knowing that crashes are inevitable, we have made backups of our data. While we do have backups, it’s going to take some time to completely get all this restored. We are taking this opportunity to make changes to our actual server hardware to make it more efficient. So, as you will notice, for now… the pictures in our previous posts are not showing up on this website. We pull pics from our home server and since it is down the pics will not show up. In the near future we will have this fixed. So with all this happening, it’s slowing us down a bit on posting our video media but please stay tuned to our social media presents and we will soon be back FULL STEAM!

1st Garden Harvest Of 2025

Today we gathered our 1st significant harvest of the year from our garden. We harvested Green Bell Peppers and Summer Squash. A few days ago we were able to pick a couple of zucchini, but the majority of those plants still just have flowers. We were able to gather 27 Peppers and 7 large squash. Over the next couple of days, we will be preparing them to freeze for the winter.

Busy, Busy, Busy!

It has been awhile since we have posted anything here. We have been very busy with outdoor projects and our garden. We have been helping our youngest son with his 1st garden at his new home, taking care of our garden, visiting family in TX and TN over the holiday weekends (Memorial day and 4th of July), and of course weeding the garden. We just harvested our carrots and are very pleased with the size of the harvest. We have never had much success in the past. It has been a very unusual year in Indiana for gardening. The spring was cold and rainy, then it suddenly turned very hot, so hot that we are expecting record breaking heat this week. We also harvested our 1st zucchini this week…can you say zucchini boats for supper…yum!

A Little on the Mechanical Side

HyudIai Accent Clutch Project

A few years ago, actually in 2013, we were working on a little 2000 Hyundai Accent. We thought that the clutch had went out on it but soon discovered it was a little more involved than that. Follow this series “here” to find out what we had to do to fix the little car.

Breaking Ground on New Garden PLOT

Breaking New Ground

We traveled up north to help our Son break a new garden plot. We were battling wind and rain but ended up getting about half of the new garden cut in before it started raining. Watch the full video “HERE

1 Month on Social Media!

We are working on projects and learning about how to publish the videos on social media. We have purchased some new equipment to help us make quality videos, that we are still trying to figure out. We have worked on the basement wall project, lawn and garden projects, and even published an older video series that Tim did in 2013 working on a small car we had at the time. We will be trying to load 2-3 videos to YouTube each week. We are also looking into other Social Media Platforms and contemplating which ones to add to our social media presence. Lora is preparing to do a video soon, but so far most of the videos have been done by Tim (and even had 1 video with our son, Dan, in it). Lora has been busy with her work as a nurse and normal everyday housework.

Hope everyone has a great Easter/Holy week!
